Runkeeper is one of the poster children for Facebook’s new “frictionless” user experience. A social network for avid (and aspiring) runners, Runkeeper packs sophisticated technology usually reserved for GPS watches and other athletic gear into a handy iPhone application and has the option of linking material to Facebook. Except, with the Open Graph, linking gives companies an opportunity to simply push all of the info that they collect into a user’s Timeline.
“A lot of the stuff that we do in SPARKS is the building blocks in starting conversations in the dialogue,” Albritton says. “Education and awareness starts at the first exposure that they have to it. Some students come on campus and they have no exposure to (the statistic) that one in four women are going to be sexually assaulted during college.”.

Often in the middle of the night, a new set of charts and Excel files would arrive in my e mail in box, and I’d see that Bob had made another remarkable discovery. Our interest initially was why a small group of cities, Austin among them, were growing so fast and so rich. In 2002, we began working with a band of researchers, including Richard Florida and Kevin Stolarick, then at Carnegie Mellon University; Gary Gates at the Urban Institute;Joe Cortright in Portland, Oregon; and Terry Nichols Clark at the University of Chicago. What we found was that these tech rich and innovative cities were benefiting from a special kind of migration. There have always been patterns to migration and development.
1 point submitted 11 days agoThis one was pretty straight forward. If it gets Def Down on you and Atk Up on it the damage is unreal but if either of these conditions fail it very manageable. The big difference I noticed(or just got unlucky in my two runs) is that the sentries this time have very high resist so stunning/sealing/thirsting etc might not be able to bring consistent results, or even work consistently badly.
